Since the end of World War II, every generation of American children has been endlessly conditioned to believe that their lives are supposed to be great - a meaningful life is not just possible, but required. the intro riff on this surfer blood song seems to sound suspiciously like the intro to this arcade fire song. come to think of it, all of the songs on surfer blood’s astrocoast sounds like something i’ve already heard before.
